Wooooooooooooooooo ~ we did it! Another year in the books. Wait⌠what books?
Iâm going to keep this short & sweet (my motto for this next year ahead).
Here is the overall consensus of the vibes Iâm sensing for 2025:
moving slower; inviting more patience in
the death of âhustle and bustleâ
making the bedroom the corporate office
functioning at full capacity for whatever that particular dayâs capacity is â if youâve only got 20% and you put in 20%, you gave 100% that day boo boo
nourishment as more of a ~vibe~; balancing what you eat with things that are consumed purely for pleasure (I get it, processed sugar and fake food dyes are bad, but all the other hills to die on are taken, so this might be mine â I CANâT STOP EATING DARK CHOCOLATE SEA SALTED CARAMELS)
fitting in every type of exercise, yapping countsâŚ
dare I say it: elimination of the human nap (parents, youâre exempt)
old timey physical activities making a comeback like: skip-its, pogo sticks, hula hoops (roller skating has BEEN back)
showing affection to the homies â hand-holding, little smoochies, winks in their general direction
big big big big lover girl notions, Iâm seeing a room full of people in a sea of platonic and romantic love
tech-breaks â like real ones. isnât it insane to be served ads catered so specifically to your niche interests. Like, yes I need a large silicone replica of a man with six pack abs, but not right now, at this very instance, during my 3:23 am scroll⌠whatâs wrong with you Temu?!?!?
prayer making a major comeback â not in an organized religion sort of way, in a more fall to your knees and fucking pray way. weâre desperate and loving. desperate and reverting back to the ancient hymns of the heart.

Today I taught a yoga class (NYE) and the vibes were immaculate ~ but my dharma talk was based on the idea of meditation at midnight. One of my friends in my 300 hour yoga teacher training at Yogamaya, NY mentioned she partook in one last year and they meditated straight through and it just so happened to be a really good year for her. Idk about you, but I buy itâŚ
So, letâs give it a try.
Iâm outlining a brief framework for some intention setting and calling in of energy for 2025. You can start it around 11:50 and let it ride straight into 12:10. I prefer to have sound in the background to keep my mind still & occupied, but feel free to do it without sound.

Instructions:
Find a comfortable seat â this matters! Prop your booty up on something and elevate your seat enough so your hips can be higher than your knees. This will allow you to sit up straight. If youâre doing this in a chair, try to have your legs over the front edge enough so you can have your feet planted firmly on the ground. I use a little round meditation cushion that my aunt gifted me on Amazon.
Yell, âHey Siri, start a timer for 20 minutes.â
Breathe. Start to inhale and exhale through your nose. You can start to count the duration of your inhalations and exhalations to make sure theyâre even. This will help you start to concentrate and ease your mind.
Pull yourself back into the moment (use a phrase). Youâll notice the mind naturally wants to wander, but it isnât impossible to pull it back to its meditative state. Simply come up with a word or phrase that helps bring you back into the present moment. I use the following phrases, âBreathe,â âJust be here,â âHere now,â or simply, âCome back.â
Wait. Donât peek at the clock or think about what youâre doing once you come out of meditation. Allow your body and mind to have time to process what you just sat in. This will help distill your thoughts and let your mind be clear, even well after your meditation session.
Write and/or reflect â If youâve just made it the full 20 minutes and youâre like OMG THAT WAS INCRED, I FEEL SO INSPIRED ~ write about it. See what comes out after youâve just done the dance with the other side of your mind. Things are pretty vast thereâŚ
